Licensing - Stand-alone Software License + Software License Updating

Licensing - Stand-alone Software License + Software License Updating

This article is designed to help get you started using your Stand-Alone Software License for Mastercam, as well as instructions for updating Mastercam maintenance codes or Mastercam product codes.

Requirements

  1. A computer workstation with Mastercam installed.
  2. The Activation Wizard and CodeMeter Control Center (installed with Mastercam.)
  3. Your License Number and Activation Code (sent to you via email from CustomerCare@mcamnw.com)
  4. Internet access.  Either from the computer you're installing the codes on (online activation,) or from a computer which you will be using to authenticate your license (offline activation.)

Text Instructions

Both First-Time setup and Maintenance or Product Update codes have the exact same procedures for activation.
If you are receiving Mastercam Maintenance codes, or have received Mastercam codes containing new products, you will first need to deactivate your license and then reactivate the license (Deactivation Instructions are below the Activation Instructions.)   This is because Mastercam Licensing does not "phone home" and the license will not know when new products have been added, maintenance has been extended, or the license status has been updated from temporary to permanent.  You must manually trigger the update by deactivation/reactivation.
